Procedure
Connect vehicle system tester V.A.G 1552
with cable V.A.G 1551/3.
After connecting the vehicle system tester:
- Either, depending on the function desired,
switch on the ignition
or
start the engine ⇒ page 01-1, table of „Avail-
able Functions".
Notes:
♦ If the readout which appears in the display
does not correspond to the procedure:
⇒ Operating instructions of vehicle system
tester
♦ If „Error in data transmission!" is displayed
because of an incorrect entry, unplug cable
at fault reader, plug in again and repeat these
steps.
Note:
Operate the vehicle system by referring to the
readout in the display.
- Press keys 0 and 1 for the address word
„Engine electronics" and confirm the engine
with the key Q.

♦ 1.4 l = Displacement of engine
♦ SIMOS 3PB = System designation
♦ HS = Manual gearbox
♦ SC01 = Software number
