Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI)

The Flash also stores the Radio CodePlug (Customer related information) such as
telephone numbers, addresses, etc.

SRAM Memory

This 512 x 16 Static Ram is used for Data storage.
The RedCap2 uses the SPI protocol (Serial Peripheral Interface) to communicate
with RF IC's (WPIC, ODCT, Synthesizer/LMX), GCAP3 IC and the display driv-
er.
The RF IC's are connected to SPIA module, while GCAP3 and the display are
connected via SPIB module.
The protocol is built upon 4 lines [MOSI(Tx), MISO(Rx), CS, CLK)].
The Display Module, based on the display driver (i.e. Samsung KS0741) uses a
serial interface.
Figure 9 is a block diagram of the RedCap2 and its interfaces.
