NOTE:
You can adjust the media volume when a media application is in
use by pressing the Volume Key. If no media application is
active, press the Volume Key to adjust ringtone volume (or the
earpiece volume during a call).

Switching to Silent Mode

You can set the phone to silent mode by using one of the
following methods.

Press the Volume Key when no media application is active.
Drag the slider to the left to switch the phone to silent mode
with vibration.

Swipe down from the top of the screen to open the notification
panel and drag the panel downwards. Touch Sound when it
is highlighted to switch the phone to silent mode.
NOTE:
The Sound button is not highlighted when the phone is in
silent mode or silent with vibration mode.

Touch the Home Key >
notifications > Interruptions > When calls and
notifications arrive, and touch Don't interrupt to switch the
phone to silent mode.
