13.4 Firmware Upgrade Screen

Find firmware at
extension, e.g., "WAP6405.bin". The upload process uses HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol) and
may take up to two minutes. After a successful upload, the system will reboot.
Click Maintenance > Firmware Upgrade. Follow the instructions in this screen to upload
firmware to your WAP6405.

Note: Do not turn off the WAP6405 while firmware upload is in progress!
After you see the Firmware Upload In Process screen, wait two minutes before logging into the
WAP6405 again.
Chapter 13 Maintenance
DESCRIPTION
Change your WAP6405's password (recommended) using the fields as shown.
Type the default password or the existing password you use to access the system in
this field.
Type your new system password (up to 30 characters). Note that as you type a
password, the screen displays a dot (•) for each character you type.
Type the new password again in this field.
Click Apply to save your changes back to the WAP6405.
Click Reset to begin configuring this screen afresh.
www.zyxel.com in a file that (usually) uses the system model name with a "*.bin"
DESCRIPTION
This shows the name of the file you have chosen to upload.
Click Choose File to find the .bin file you want to upload. Remember that you must
decompress compressed (.zip) files before you can upload them.
Click Upload to begin the upload process. This process may take up to two minutes.
