ISOFIX Child Restraint

Systems

ISOFIX mounting brackets are marked
by on the seat back.
Fasten vehicle-approved ISOFIX child
restraint systems to the ISOFIX
mounting brackets.
Specific vehicle ISOFIX child restraint
system positions are marked in the
ISOFIX Child Restraint Systems
Installation Suitability table. See
Where to Put the Restraint 0 91.
No more than two ISOFIX child
restraint systems can be installed on
the rear seats at the same time,
though not right next to each other.
Top Tether Fastening Eyes
Top tether fastening eyes are marked
with for a child seat.
In addition to the ISOFIX mounting,
fasten the top tether strap to the top
tether fastening eyes.

Securing Child Restraints

(With the Seat Belt in the

Rear Seat)

When securing a child restraint in a
rear seating position, study the
instructions that came with the child
restraint to make sure it is compatible
with this vehicle.
If the child restraint has the ISOFIX
system, see ISOFIX Child Restraint
Systems 0 94 for how and where to
install the child restraint using
ISOFIX. If a child restraint is secured
in the vehicle using a safety belt and
it uses a top tether, see ISOFIX Child
Restraint Systems 0 94 for top tether
anchor locations.
Do not secure a child seat in a
position without a top tether anchor if
a national or local law requires that
the top tether be anchored, or if the
instructions that come with the child
restraint say that the top strap must
be anchored.
