Precautions on the
waterproof and
dustproof properties
This product has a protection rating
(JIS C 0920) for waterproof property
equivalent to IPX7
property equivalent to IP6X
condition that the au Nano IC Card 04/
microSD memory card tray is fully
installed (based on in-house testing).
To ensure the correct use, read the
"Important notices for use" before use.
If you do not follow the given
instructions, it may result in overheat,
fire, electric shock, injury, or
malfunction, due to the intrusion of
water or the contamination of sand or
other foreign objects.
※1 IPX7 equivalent means that the product will not be
intruded by water and maintain its performance as a
phone even after it has been placed and left
undisturbed at the bottom of a water tank of depth
1 m, filled with still tap water at room temperature,
for about 30 minutes.
※2 IP6X equivalent means that the product will
securely maintain its operability as a phone even
after it has been placed in an apparatus with grit
and dust of diameters of 75μm or less and shaken
for 8 hours.
Note that the dustproof property is not
guaranteed in every usage condition.
