Prerequisites

1 Remove the optical
2 Remove the base

Procedure

1 Open the latch and disconnect the display cable from the system board.
2 Lift the latch and pull the optical-drive interposer cable from the system board
and the optical-drive board connector.
3 Remove the screws that secure the optical-drive interposer to the palm rest and
keyboard assembly.
