Chute
CmeanoOut Toom
A chute clean-out tool is fastenedto the topof the auger housing
with a mountingdip. See Figure7.The tool is designedto dear a
chute assemNyof ice and snow.This itemis fastenedwith a cane tie
at the factory.Cutthe cane tie beforeoperatingthe snowthrower.
Neveruseyour handsto dear a dogged chuteassemNy.Shut
off engineand remainbehindhandlesuntilall movingparts have
stoppedbeforeusingthe deamout tool to dear the chuteassemNy.
Tire Pressure
Beforeoperating,checktire pressureand reducepressurein bothtires
to between15psi and 20 psi.
NOTE:If the tire pressureis not equal in both tires,the unitmay not
travel in a straightpathand the shaveplatemaywear unevenly.
Skid Shoes
The snowthrowerskid shoesare adjustedupwardat the factoryfor
shippingpurposes.Adjustthem downward,if desired,prior to operat-
ing the snowthrower.
It is not recommended that you operatethis snow throweron gravel
as it can easilypick up and throw loosegravel,causingpersonal
injuryor damageto the snowthrowerand surroundingproperty.

Forclose snow removal o n a smoothsurface,raiseskid shoes
higheron the augerhousing.

Usea middleor lowerpositionwhenthe area to be clearedis
uneven,such asa graveldriveway
NOTE:If youchooseto operatethe snowthroweron a gravelsurface,
keepthe skid shoes in positionfor maximumclearancebetweenthe
groundand the shaveplate.
To adjustthe skid shoes:
1.
Loosenthefour hex nuts(two on eachside)and carriagebolts.
Moveskid shoesto desiredposition.See Figure8.
2.
Makecertainthe entirebottomsurfaceof skid shoe is againstthe
groundto avoid unevenwearon the skid shoes.
3.
Retightennutsand bolts securely.
