When you finish the wizard, ActiveSync synchronizes your device
automatically. Notice that Outlook e-mails and other information will
appear on your device after synchronization. Once synchronization
completes, you can disconnect your device from your PC.
5.4 Synchronizing with Your Computer
When you connect your device to the PC using a USB cable or a Bluetooth
connection, ActiveSync will automatically synchronize. While your device
is connected, ActiveSync synchronizes every time you make a change on
either the PC or your device.
You can also manually start and stop synchronization any time.
To manually start and stop synchronization
1.
After connecting your device to your PC, tap Start > Programs >
ActiveSync on your device.
2.
Tap Sync to start synchronization.
To end synchronization before it completes, tap Stop.
To change which information is synchronized
You can add or reduce the types of information to synchronize between
your device and PC.
1.
Before changing synchronization settings on your device, disconnect
your device from your PC.
2.
On your device, tap Start > Programs > ActiveSync.
3.
Tap Menu > Options.
4.
Do one or both of the following:
•
Select the check box for any items you want to synchronize. If you
cannot select a check box, you might have to clear the check box
for the same information type elsewhere in the list.
•
Clear the check box for any items you want to stop synchronizing.
To customize settings for an item, tap that item then tap Settings.
