Pairing a wireless device
Bluetooth devices must first be paired to each other (e.g the headset to your
mobile phone) before being used; this process must be performed at least once
for two specific devices to communicate.

Turn both the mobile phone and the headset on and place them near each
other (refer to the headset documentation for information on pairing).
When turned on, the headset beeps or flashes. We recommend that you do not
wear the headset on your ear while proceeding with authentification process.
Also check that the headset is placed within close enough proximity that it can

communicate with your mobile. If not, move it closer to your mobile phone.
Press
on your mobile phone and select Settings, Accessories,
Headset,
Detect
and press
screen, showing that your mobile is searching the headset.
Pairing authentification should take place within 1 min. If it fails, you should
switch the headset into authentification mode again, as described above.
Select in the list of detected devices the headset to be authentified and
paired with, then press
Enter the
Pairing code
A pairing code (16 characters max.), allows the mobile to identify and
differentiate several devices from one another. The default pairing code is 0000.

Once the mobile has found the headset, it displays its name and address.

to store this information: your headset is ready for use with
your mobile phone.

Select the current headset profile in the list, then press

to change the current profile, or
profile (e.g. to use another headset). Then press
choice and proceed with configuration and authentification as described
above.
Your mobile can only store one audio profile at a time: if you delete the one
available, you must define a new profile by reconfiguring a headset (see "Pairing
a wireless device" page 66).
