    1 • Getting started Read the safety instructions in the "Precautions" section before use. First steps To use your phone, you must insert a valid SIM card supplied by your GSM operator or retailer. The SIM card contains your subscription, your mobile number, and a memory in which you can store phone numbers and messages (see “Phonebooks”...

    PIN protection Allows you to activate/deactivate the PIN protection when switching on your phone.     6 • Phonebooks All operations described in this chapter require you have selected the relevant Phonebook, whether in SIM or in phone. A hotkey allows you to quickly switch from a phonebook to another (see “Hotkeys” page 31). Introduction Your mobile phone has two phonebooks.
