OPTIONAL CRYSTAL OVEN INSTALLATION
1)
Remove the bottom and top covers from the
chassis.
2) On the bottom side of the tftnsceiver, dis-
connect Pre on the lF unit, and Pr4 on the
AF unit. On the top side, disoonnect Po5 and
Po? on the RF unit. (Refer to Figurcs I and
2.) Note: if the Remote Control Unit is
installed over the RF Unit,it must be removed
to access Po? on the RF Unit.

and 3.)

Crystals used in the oven differ from those
used wjthout, and so new crystals musr oe
installed when the oven is added. See the
procedure on the following page.

Unscrcw the four CARRIER/LOCAL OSC
Unit mounting screws marked A on Figure 2.
Then rcmove the CARRIER/LOCAL OSC
Unit mounting plate from the unit.
Affrx the mounting plate to the crystal oven
with the screws removed step 3.
Secure the crystal oven with the mounting
plate, in exactly the same configumtion as
Ihe CARRIER/LOCAL OSC Unir with previ-
ousry.
Connect all plugs to their approprilte jacks.
(P6o5 to J,oo. , P6o7 to lioo?, P61, to Jroo? and
P614 to J3oo3). The heater cable (P6ao) should
be connected to Pje. This connector had
