Symptom
Images do not appear on the
LCD Monitor.
Although it is set to Auto
Focus, it does not focus.
The flash does not fire. Or the
flash cannot recharge.
Even though the flash fired,
the picture is dark.
Cause and Measure
The Memory Card does not have any free space.
Load a new card, or delete unwanted files.
End of Memory Card life.
Load a new Memory Card.
The SD Memory Card is "locked".
Release the "Lock (write-protection)".
The flash is recharging.
Wait until the flash lamp stops blinking.
The power is not on.
Turn the power on.
The LCD Monitor is dark.
Adjust the brightness of the LCD Monitor in Shooting Menu.
The LCD Monitor is not on.
Press the DISP button and switch display.
The lens or A Window is dirty.
Wipe clean with a soft, dry cloth.
The Shooting Mode is set to 3.
Switch the Shooting Mode to 5 or M
The flash is set to flash off.
Set to Flash Off with the F button.
The White Balance is set to something other than Auto mode.
Set the White Balance to Auto mode.
The distance to the subject is greater than 2.5 meters.
Get closer to your subject and shoot.
