It is imperative that you read the chapter "For your safety" before you work with the appliance.
WARNING: Rechargeable batteries may cause fires or burns if not handled properly. Do not dismantle
the rechargeable batteries, never expose them to heat (max. 60 °C) and do not throw them into a fire.
Only ever replace the rechargeable batteries with original Vax replacement batteries (article number
1-5-134857). If you use other rechargeable batteries, there is a risk of fire and explosion. Dispose of
used rechargeable batteries immediately. Keep them out of the reach of children. Do not attempt to
service a rechargeable battery or charger yourself. This can cause fires and injuries. Never short-
circuit rechargeable batteries. I.e. Never touch both poles simultaneously, especially not with metal
objects. Never attempt to charge non-rechargeable batteries.
CAUTION: In order to full utilise the performance, it is important that the upright vacuum cleaner,
charger, rechargeable batteries and their contacts are clean.
Charging the rechargeable battery
Insert the rechargeable
battery in the charger.
Removing the battery from the charger
Press the release catch,
hold the charging station
in place and remove the
rechargeable battery.
Whilst charging, the charging
indicator light lights up blue.
If the charging indicator
light lights up red, an error
has occurred. In this case,
remove the battery.
INFORMATION: The service life depends on how often you use the
upright vacuum cleaner and for how long. If you need a replacement
rechargeable battery, contact us. See page 20 for contact details.

75 % charged
After 3 hours, the rechargeable battery is
fully charged and the charging indicator
light goes out.
INFORMATION: Charge the recharge-
able battery fully before first use.
INFORMATION: The rechargeable
battery can remain in the connected
charging station, even when it is fully
charged.
INFORMATION: We recommend that
you keep the replacement battery
ready charged at all times.
