6 Maintenance and care

6.1 Emptying the dust bin

CAUTION:
Switch off the appliance before removing the
dust bin.
NOTE:
Empty the dust bin regularly, preferably after
each cleaning session.
1. Press the dust bin release catch (Fig. 10)
and remove the dust bin from the appli-
ance.
2. Hold the dust bin low over a waste bin.
3. Remove the motor filter and its filter sieve
from the dust bin (Fig. 11).
4. If required, separate the motor filter from
the filter sieve (Fig. 13).
5. Dispose of the content of the dust bin in a
waste bin (Fig. 11).
6. Gently tap out the dust bin to remove any
soiling.
- If the dust bin and its filter components
are still soiled, proceed as described:
Zchapter 6.2, "Cleaning dust bin and fil-
ter components".
NOTE:
We recommend that you clean the
dust bin thoroughly with every 3rd
emptying
process
"Cleaning dust bin and filter compo-
nents".
- If you believe that the dust bin and its filter
components are clean enough, insert the
motor filter into its filter sieve and insert
these filter components into the dust bin.
7. Re-connect the dust bin to the unit
(Fig. 14). To do so, first attach it at the bot-
tom and the pivot it in firmly so that you hear
and feel it click into place.
