Causes
1. Defective connector
cable or poor con-
tact in the connector.

sensor.
4. Defective PWB.

2. Defective cassette
size switch.
3. Defective PWB.
1. Defective connector
cable or poor con-
tact in the connector.

3. Defective PWB.
1. A piece of paper torn
from paper is caught
around registration
sensor, duplex sen-
sor , feed sensor 1/2
or eject sensor.
2. Defective sensor.

the interlock switch.

Check procedures/corrective measures
Reinsert the connector. Also check for continuity within the
connector cable. If none, replace the cable.
MP paper sensor and engine PWB (YC22)
Check visually and replace if necessary.
Replace the MP paper sensor.
Replace the engine PWB and check for correct operation
(see page 1-5-33).
Reinsert the connector. Also check for continuity within the
connector cable. If none, replace the cable.
Paper size width switch 1 and engine connect PWB (YC7)
Paper size length switch 1 and engine connect PWB (YC7)
Engine connect PWB and engine PWB (YC4)
Replace the paper size width switch 1 or paper size length
switch 1.
Replace the engine PWB or the engine connect PWB and
check for correct operation (see page 1-5-33).
Reinsert the connector. Also check for continuity within the
connector cable. If none, replace the cable.
Paper size width switch 2 and engine PWB (YC27)
Paper size length switch 2 and engine PWB (YC27)
engine PWB and main PWB
Replace the paper size width switch 1 or paper size length
switch 1.
Replace the engine PWB or the main PWB and check for
correct operation (see page 1-5-40, 1-5-31).
Check visually and remove it, if any.
Replace the registration sensor, duplex sensor, feed sensor
1/2 or eject sensor.
Check visually and replace if necessary.
Replace the interlock switch.
