Making the LCD monitor easier to
see (LCD mode)
1 Press and hold [Q.MENU] until
quick setting screen is displayed.
2 Select indication at the right end
(initial setting: [OFF]) using q,
select mode using e/r and press
[MENU/SET].

Mode Uses
Brightness of the LCD monitor
automatically changes

depending on brightness of
POWER LCD
the environment.
The LCD monitor becomes
brighter and easier to see
POWER
even when taking pictures

outdoors.
This is useful
when you cannot
HIGH
get close to the
ANGLE
subject because
there is a person
in the way.
(More diffi cult to
see when looked
straight on.)
OFF The LCD monitor returns to
the normal brightness.
• You can set LCD mode in setup menu.
(P23)
• High angle mode is canceled if you
turn the camera off. (Same occurs in
[POWER SAVE].)
• The LCD monitor automatically returns to
normal brightness after 30 seconds when
recording in Power LCD mode. Press any
button to make the LCD monitor bright
again.
• The brightness of the pictures displayed
on the LCD monitor is adjusted when
Power LCD mode or High angle mode
is activated. Therefore, some subjects
may look different on the LCD monitor.
However, this does not affect the
recorded pictures.
• If the screen is diffi cult to see because of
light from the sun etc. shining on it, use
your hand or another object to block the
light.
• Auto power LCD mode and high angle
mode are not activated in the following
cases.
