Inspect & Tighten Air Cleaner to Mount

Inspect Air Compressor Inlet Lines
Inspect & Tighten "Compressed Air" Tract
Hose Clamps
Inspect & Tighten "Fresh Air" Tract Hose
Clamps
Inspect Intake Tract Tubing, Charge Air
Tubing and All Fasteners
CARE & MAINTENANCE
See Meritor Cam Brakes Appendix in Air Brakes Chapter of
Service Manual for guidelines.
Inspect for signs of contaminate infiltration, loose clamps,
wear spots, holes in piping.
Tighten to 5 ft lb.
Inspect for loose wires, damaged terminals, damaged
insulators.
Check for solid connection, tight fasteners and absence of
corrosion.
Inspect for leaks or signs of abrasion.
Inspect for obstruction.
Inspect for proper seating, secure lid. Replace if soiled,
wet, or damaged. Ensure proper installation and seal.
Clean any debris from filter housing.
Tighten to 4.5 to 6 lb-ft.
Inspect for tightness, wear or other damage.
Tighten to 5 to 5.8 ft lbs. Labeled "A".
Tighten to 6.5 to 7.5 ft lbs. Labeled "B".
Inspect for signs of contaminate infiltration, loose clamps,
wear spots, holes in piping.
