7 "DownloadTools" PC programme / Configuration module
Password protection
In the Configuration module on the Password
protection tab, you can enter a password to protect the
download files stored on the DLKPro from third-party
access.
The password blocks access to the DOWNLOADKEY
drive and to the SDHC™ card (if inserted). Access to the
download files is only possible after you have started the
PC programme and entered the password.
Choose the Configuration module and then the
Password protection tab if you want to change the
DLKPro's password protection settings.
Enabling password protection
Select Protect download key.
Enter the password in the first text box.
Enter the password again in the Password
confirmation box.
Click on [Set] to apply the password and enable
password protection.
Note: If a password is stored, the next time you
connect the DLKPro you can only access the download
files and backup copies on the SDHC™ card after you
have started the PC programme and entered the
password.
You can also use the Autostarter to enter your
password; see page 33.
Note: Please take the following security precautions to
protect your personal data:
• Do not give your password to third parties.
• Change your password regularly.
• Keep your password in a safe place.

Changing the password
Enter your current password in the first text box.
Enter your new password in the second text box.
Enter the password again in the Password
confirmation box.
Click on [Set] to apply the changes.
Note: The next time you connect the DLKPro you must
enter the new password to access the download files.
Removing the password
Select Unprotect downloadkey to remove the
password.
Enter your password in the relevant text box.
Click on [Unprotect] to apply the changes.
Confirm the query with [Yes].
