Setting the Shooting Functions

Changing the Mode

Capture mode is for taking pictures and Playback mode is for playing
back or deleting images.
Switching between Capture Mode and Playback Mode
• To change from Capture mode to Playback mode, press the
Q Playback button.
• To change from Playback mode to Capture mode, press the
Q Playback button or press the shutter release button halfway.
In Capture mode, pressing and holding the Q Playback button for two
seconds or more switches the mode to the Playback mode, and the lens
is retracted.

Turn the mode dial and match the
indicator with one of the following:
Rd-=.HC+.
The basic picture-taking mode.
You can select the Picture mode according to
the shooting scene.There are ten Picture
modes to choose from.
Lets the camera set the functions
automatically.
Lets you take portrait-type pictures.
Lets you take landscape views.
Lets you take dark scenes such as night views.
Lets you take movies.
Lets you take pictures with a variety of special
effects.
