Using the external navigation unit

(Only for DDX4017DAB/DDX4017BT)
You can connect a navigation unit (KNA-610 or
KNA-G620T: optional accessory) to the NAV input
terminal so that you can view the navigation screen.

• The navigation guidance comes out of the front
speakers even when you are listening to an audio
source.
❏ Viewing the navigation screen
On the Home screen:
• You can also display the navigation screen by
pressing AV/DISP OFF on the monitor panel while
listening to another source.
• While the navigation screen is displayed, the touch
panel operations are available only for navigation.
• The aspect ratio of the navigation screen is fixed
to <FULL> regardless of the <Aspect> setting
(Page 50).
When receiving a call during navigation guidance
The screen is switched automatically. To return to
the navigation screen, press [
].
To exit the navigation screen
On the pop-up short-cut menu (Page 11):
Display the pop-up short-cut menu by pressing
MENU on the monitor panel, then select [Current
Source].
On the monitor panel:
Press AV/DISP OFF on the monitor panel.

Display the <Input> setting screen.
On the Home screen:

Display the <Navigation> screen.

<Guidance>
Select which front speakers
are used for the navigation
guidance.
<Volume>
Adjust the volume of the
navigation guidance. (0 to 35)
<NAV Mute>
Select [ON] to attenuate the
sound coming out of speakers
other than the front speakers
during navigation guidance.
• To cancel the attenuation,
select [OFF].
<NAV Setup>
Press [Enter] to display
the setup screen for the
navigation unit. See the
instruction manual supplied
for the navigation unit.
