Identification Numbers
The chassis and engine numbers
also appear on the plate attached to
the front doorjamb on the left side.
On some types, a certification plate
is attached to the driver's doorjamb.
The Vehicle Identification Number
(VIN)/chassis number also appears
on a plate fastened to the top of the
dashboard on some types.
