IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
21. FIRE FASTENERS INTO WORK SURFACE ONLY. Do not drive nails nor attempt
to do so, into hard or brittle materials such as steel, concrete, or tile.
22. DO NOT DRIVE NAILS too close to the edge of the workpiece. The workpiece is
likely to split, allowing the fasteners to fly free or ricochet causing personal injury.
23. STAY ALERT. Keep hands and body away from the path of any potential fired
fastener. Watch what you are doing & use common sense. Don't operate any
tool when you are tired or under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Check pre-
scriptions to determine if there could be a problem.
24. GUARD AGAINST ELECTRIC SHOCK. Prevent body contact with grounded
surfaces: pipes, radiators, ranges, and refrigerator enclosures. Before driving
fasteners into walls, floors, or wherever "live" electrical wires may be encountered,
try to ascertain whether there is a danger of shock.
25. KEEP WORK AREA CLEAR of obstructions.
26. STORE IDLE EQUIPMENT. When the tool is not being used, it should be
cleaned, and stored in a clean dry place out of the reach of children.
27. EMPLOYERS must enforce compliance with the safety warnings and all other
instructions in this manual. Keep it available for use by everyone assigned to use
this tool.
WARNING: The warnings, cautions, and instructions detailed in this manual cannot
cover all possible conditions and situations that occur. It must be understood by the
operator that COMMON SENSE AND CAUTION ARE FACTORS that cannot be built
into this product, but MUST BE SUPPLIED BY THE OPERATOR.
