Choosing the operating mode

Simulation—in this mode you can make test calls by
emulating equipment on the line: e.g. Terminal
Equipment (TE), a Network Termination (NT) or
ISDN Line Termination (LT).
Monitor—in this mode you can monitor signalling
traffic on the line or listen to audio calls.

Entering alphanumeric information

When performing certain tasks, you need to enter a string of
alphanumeric characters. For example, when storing a speed-
dial number you can assign a name to identify who or what it
belongs to. Each time you choose or are required to enter an
alphanumeric name, the following window opens:

The active window is the one in which the shadow appears. In
the above example the selection window is active, as can be
seen by the shadow and one of its letters (C) being highlighted.

With the Main Menu window active in the top
level menu, highlight the mode you require:
Press ENTER to select the operating mode and
display its main menu or selection screen.
