Possible Cause
The ink cartridge
may be low or
the ink cartridge
may not be
supported for the
printer.
The printer
cartridge is
running low on
ink.
The printer
cartridge is
empty.
The printer ink
cover is open
The paper tray
may be empty or
there may be a
paper jam.
The paper is not
aligned correctly
in the paper tray.
There is a paper
jam.
Solution
Install a supported printer
cartridge, turn the printer
off, then turn it back on.
Replace the ink cartridge.
You may be able to print
some images using the
current cartridge, but their
color and quality may not
be of high quality.
Replace the ink cartridge.
Close the ink cover.
• Examine the paper
tray. If it is empty, refill
it.
• Examine the paper
path for a paper jam. If
you find one, clear it.
Realign the paper in the
tray.
Turn off the printer.
Completely clear the paper
jam, then turn the printer
back on.
