Problem
My image is
too dark.
Downloaded from ManualsCamera.com Manuals
Possible Cause
The flash was
on, but the
subject was too
far away.
The scene had
many light-
colored objects,
such as a white
object on a light
background.
There was not
enough light.
A light is behind
the subject.
Your finger
blocked the
flash.
Troubleshooting and support
Solution
Make sure your subject is
within the flash working
distance (see page 119). If not,
try using the Flash Off
setting (see page 26). This
setting will require a longer
exposure, so use a tripod.
Increase the EV Compensation
(see page 38).
• Wait for natural lighting
conditions to improve.
• Add indirect lighting.
• Use the flash (see page 26).
• Increase the EV
Compensation (see
page 38).
• Use the Flash On
(see page 26) to brighten
the subject. This is called
fill-flash.
• Increase the EV
Compensation (see
page 38).
Be sure to move your fingers
away from the flash when you
take a picture.
