Text Messaging

Your phone supports four text modes:
ABC mode: This mode allows you to type letters by pressing

the key until the correct letter displays. For example, to type the,
you press the 8 key once, the 4 key twice, and the 3 key twice.
T9 ® mode: This mode allows you to type words with only one
n
keystroke per letter. The phone predicts the word you want. For
example, to type the, you press 8, 4, 3. Press 0 to select the and
insert a space.
Number mode: This mode allows you to type numbers.

Symbol mode: This mode allows you to type symbols.

Send message
1. From the main screen, select
Menu > Messages.
2. Select Create new > Text message.
3. Type your message an select Send to.
4. Select Recent recipients, Phonebook,
or New recipient.

5. Type the number or scroll to the desired
contact and press the OK key to place
a check in the box.
6. Select Add.
7. Select Send.
Read message
Your phone notifies you when you have a new
text message. To read, select View.
To access messages in your Inbox:
1. From the main screen, select Menu.
2. Select Messages > Inbox.
3. Scroll to the message and select View.
Delete message
To access messages in your Inbox:
1. From the main screen, select Menu.
2. Select Messages > Inbox.
3. Scroll to the message and select Options.
4. Select Delete > Selected and then select Yes.
Separate charges may apply to send/receive domestic/international text messages.
