If you're planning on using your UPS with the additional supported battery pack option
listed above as battery pack option 3, EXTERNAL BATTERY CONFIGURATION TOOL software
is required. After the EXTERNAL BATTERY CONFIGURATION TOOL software is used, the UPS
will display the resulting configuration as "BP TOOL" on the LCD screen. BP TOOL is present
as an LCD viewable option, but is itself not selectable (if BP TOOL selection is attempted,
the screen will report "READ ONLY. SELECT BY BP TOOL" to confirm the selection has not
been accepted). EXTERNAL BATTERY CONFIGURATION TOOL software is a Windows only
application and requires a serial cable connection to the UPS in order to run.
Visit http://www.tripplite.com/bpconfig to download the software.
