Using Virtual CINEMA DSP

Virtual CINEMA DSP allows you to enjoy the CINEMA
DSP programs without surround speakers. It creates
virtual speakers to reproduce the natural sound field.
If you set "SUR. L/R SP"
Virtual CINEMA DSP activates automatically whenever
you select a CINEMA DSP sound field program (see
page 58).
Note
Virtual CINEMA DSP will not activate even when "SUR. L/R
SP" is set to "NONE" (see page 70) in the following cases:
– when the component connected to the MULTI CH INPUT
jacks is selected as the input source (see page 38).
– when headphones are connected to the PHONES jack.
– when the "DIRECT STEREO" (see page 39), "2ch Stereo"
(see page 39) or "STRAIGHT" mode (see page 39) is
selected.
