If your configuration or NonStop server environment requires unique settings or special
configurations, HP can provide assistance and minor firmware configurations for specific platforms,
software or drives through the use of this menu item. This setting is factory-configured at 00001400
and you should never have to changed it. As noted, special situations may require this setting be
changed, but it is highly recommended that you contact your service provider before changing this
setting. Use the Numeric Entry Method to enter the eight-digit hex value.

Four different baud rates are available for connecting to a serial terminal or terminal emulator: No parity, 8
data bits, 1 stop bit, and xon/xoff flow control. The 3-pin serial connector on the tape drive can connect to
a PC serial port by using a communication package such as PRO-COMM (with xon/xoff enabled) to
upgrade the flash firmware. Use the Pick Entry Method to select a baud rate.
