Once the appropriate diameter has been reached, the crestal implant design leads
to an internal condensation of bone in the implant site, increasing primary stability.
The crestal twist drill should be used to decrease friction and compressive forces,
especially in dense bone.
In DI and DII bone, pre-tapping for the implant threads is required after crestal
preparation to further reduce friction and compressive force. Therefore, the XiVE
Tap (see page 17) must also be used.
