To nstall the physcal dsks
1. Select the RAID level that s best suted for your applcaton.Each RAID level has
features that are more sutable for some applcatons than they are for others. So
consder carefully whch RAID level s best suted for your applcaton.
2. Determne the mnmum number of physcal dsks requred for the selected RAID
level and adapter type.
3. Connect the requred number of physcal dsks to the avalable ports on the adapter
ether drectly or through a backplane/enclosure usng data cables. We recommend
nstallng physcal dsks of smlar capacty, as ths enhances performance.
4. Power-up the physcal dsks.
Installng MRU on Wndows OS
Ths secton descrbes the procedure to nstall the MRU software on Wndows OS.
Verfyng RAID Adapter Drver Installaton
Before nstallng the MRU software, verfy that your adapter drver s already nstalled. If
the drver was nstalled properly, t s lsted under SCSI and RAID Controllers n the Wn-
dows System Devce Manager. You can access the Devce Manager n dfferent ways.
