Dubbing a track you are listening
to from the beginning

1 Insert a CD and an MD, then press CD
to start playing back the CD.
Use a recordable MD with the record-protect
window closed.
2 While listening to the CD, just press CD
DUBBING.
Playback of the track playing when you pressed
CD DUBBING will restart from the beginning,
then dubbing start. Dubbing will automatically
stop at the end of the track, although the CD
continues playing.
Dubbing a CD playing in various
playback mode onto the MD
1 Insert a CD and an MD, then select CD as
the source.
Use a recordable MD with the record-protect
window closed.
2 Set the playback mode.
You can set MEMORY or 1 TR playback mode.
You may also combine REPEAT mode with them.
(See pages 26 to 28.)
Do not start playback yet.
3 Press CD DUBBING to start dubbing.
Notes
• Normally the incompletely recorded track will be erased
(see "If CD dubbing has been incomplete" on page 22).
However, if recording is interrupted during dubbing of a
single track, the track will be recorded up to the point at
which recording was interrupted.
• When combined with 1 TR playback, only the first track of
the CD will be dubbed even if other tracks are selected.
• When digital recording is done on a single track from the
CD in repeat mode, no track number is marked. (This
means that if the same track is repeated ten times during
recording, it will be regarded as one track.)

CD to MD synchro recording

This function is convenient for CD editing to MD.

1 Insert a CD and an MD, then select CD as
the source.
Use a recordable MD with the record-protect
window closed.
2 Press REC to set the MD to recording
pause.
3 Select the track by turning MULTI JOG,
then press CD
recording.
CD playback and MD recording start at the same
time.
Pausing the CD and selecting the next music
to record
1 Press CD
to pause.
MD recording pauses at the same time.
2 Select the track by turning MULTI JOG,
then press CD
recording.
To stop recording
Press MD to stop recording. The CD continues playing.
If you press CD , the CD stops playing, but the MD
returns to recording pause.
