Correcting and erasing a character
If the unit is not in "Name In" mode, execute steps 1
and 2 in "Entering a name." Then follow the steps
below.
1 Press
or
repeatedly until the
character you wish to correct or erase
flashes.
2 When correcting
Enter the desired character (or title)
following steps 3 and 4 in "Entering a
name."
When erasing
Press EDIT/CLEAR/NO on the unit or
CLEAR on the remote controller.
Inserting a character
If the unit is not in "Name In" mode, execute steps 1
and 2 in "Entering a name." Then follow the steps
below.

2 Turn MULTI JOG until " " appears, then
press MULTI JOG.

3 Enter the desired character (or title)
following steps 3 and 4 in "Entering a
name."
Erasing the name given to a CD or
MD
This will erase both the disc name and all the track
names from an MD.
1 Select CD or MD as the source.
2 Press EDIT/CLEAR/NO until "Name
Erase?" appears in the display.
3 Press REPEAT/YES.
"Complete" appears and the name will be erased.
The name of a CD may be erased without the CD
being inserted.
1 Select CD as the source, then press EDIT/
CLEAR/NO.
"Name Erase?" appears in the display.
2 Press REPEAT/YES.
After scrolling the disc names the display will flash.
3 Turn MULTI JOG to select the disc name you
wish to erase.
4 Press REPEAT/YES.
"Complete" appears and the name will be erased.
Erasing the name given to a preset
channel
1 Select TUNER as the source.
2 Turn MULTI JOG to select the preset
channel name you wish to erase.
3 Press EDIT/CLEAR/NO until "Name
Erase?" appears in the display.
4 Press REPEAT/YES.
"Complete" appears and the name will be erased.
