set for defrosting, but you may
change this for more flexibility.

TObecome better acquainted with
the defrost function, defrost frozen
pork chops by followingthe steps
below.
Step 1: Place package of frozen
chops in the ovenand close door+
Step 2: Touch DEF. Display reads
-Oand PowerLevel3 is automatically
tin the oven but does not appear
on display. "ENTER DEF TIME"
flashes.
Step 3: Touch 8,0 and Ofor 8
minutes. DEF TIME and 8:00 are
displayed. If you wish to change
p~~wer I CVC1, touch Power Level pad
and then new number.
Step 4: TouchSTART.Time counts
down on display.When cycleis
completed, the ovensignalsand
automaticallyshutsoff.
Step 5: llrn packageover,close
door and repeat Steps2,3 and 4.
Step 6: When ovensignalsand
shuts off, display wiIl show "End?'
Step 7: Open door or touch
CLEARI'OFF pad. Removepackage
and separate chops to finish
defrosting.

This sound is normal. It is
lettingyou knowthe oven is using a
powerlevellowerthan 10(HIGH).
Q. Can I Defrostsmall items in
a hurry?
A. Yes,
b ut they will need more
frequent attentionthan usual. Raise
the powerlevelafter entering the
time by touchingthe desired Power
Level pad. Power Level7 cuts the
time about in 1/2;PowerLwet 10
cuts the time to approximately1/3.
During either, rotate or stir food
frequently.
Q. Why don'tthe defrosting
times in the Cookbookseem right
for my food?
A. Cookbook times are average.
Defrostingtime can vary according
to the temperature in your freezer.
Set your oven for the time indicated
in your Cookbook. If your food is
still not completely thawed at the
end of that time, reset your oven
and adjust the time accordingly.
Q. Should all foods be completely
thawed before cooking?
A. Some foods should not be
completely thawed before cooking.
For example, fish cooks so quickly
it is better to begin cooking while it
is still slightly frozen.
Q. Can I open the door during
defrosting to check on the
progress of my food?
A. Yes. Youmay open the door at
any time during microwaving.To
resume defrosting, close the door
and press START.The oven begins
operating if time is left on timer.
If not, reset timer.
