The thermal pad is between the battery and the bottom
of the tray. It is a soft "dough-like" material that adheres
to the tray. If thermal pad is damaged or pulled up during
battery removal it MUST be replaced.
Locate the black wire L and the red wire M on the new battery

pack (Figure 6).

Move the black and red wires away from the rest of the wires
(yellow, white and green).
The red and black wires CAN NOT be twisted. See
Figure 6.

Open the ferrite N.

Place the ferrite around the black and red wires.
9.
Close and lock the ferrite around the black and red wires.
10. Slide the ferrite to ensure it is not pinching the wires.

11. Position the new battery on the thermal pad as shown in Figure 5.
When installing the new battery, ensure the battery label
faces up.
12. Connect the battery wiring harness J to the internal printed
circuit board (PCB) G.
13. Re-assemble the XPO2. Refer to 3.3 Reassembling the XPO
page 3 .

3.3 Reassembling the XPO

Carefully, re-install the front cover F onto the XPO

While holding the unit together, position the XPO
back panel label C is facing up.
Install four mounting screws D and secure the two sections of

together (Figure 2). Securely tighten.

Remove the glue residue from the top of the XPO
label was removed. Apply 91% isopropyl alcohol, and wipe with a
clean cloth. Make sure the surface is dry and free of any residue.
This will ensure a good seal for the new label.

Install replacement label A on the top of the XPO
adheres to both the front and rear sections (Figure 1).
