Service-due indicator

If the time remaining to the next
service is less than a month or if
the next service falls due within
1000 km, service due date 1
and countdown distance 2 show
briefly after the Pre-Ride-Check
completes.
If service is overdue, the
due date or the odometer
reading at which service was due
is accompanied by the 'Gener-
al' warning light showing yellow.
The word "Service" remains per-
manently visible.
If the service-due indicator
appears more than a month
before the service date, the date
saved in the instrument cluster
must be adjusted. This situation
can occur if the battery was dis-
connected for a prolonged period
of time.
If you want to have the date
set consult a specialist work-
shop, preferably an authorised
BMW Motorrad dealer.

Tyre pressure

with tyre pressure monitoring
OE
(RDC)
The front tyre pressure is on the
left 1; the reading on the right 2
is the rear tyre pressure. " "
appears in the display directly
after the ignition is switched on.
The sensors do not transmit tyre
pressures until the first time the
vehicle accelerates to more than
30 km/h. The reference tyre-air
temperature for these tyre-pres-
sure readings is always 20 °C.
If the symbol 3 also shows,
this is a warning. The crit-
ical tyre pressure flashes.
