Wet Vacuuming

Danger of explosion and fire! Do not vac-
uum inflammable or explosive fluids; for
example, benzene, oil, alcohol, solvents.
Do not vacuum hot or burning dust. Do not
operate the machine in rooms where the
danger of an explosion exists.
The machine is intended for vacuuming
air/water mixtures. The machine is not to
be used as a water pump.
The dust bag 13 must be removed before
wet vacuuming.
Empty the container before wet vacuuming.
When the maximum filling height is reached, the
air flow is interrupted by the float 2. The machine
no longer has any suction power.
Switch off the machine immediately.
Before opening and emptying, pull the plug from
the socket in all cases.
To prevent mould forming, remove the perma-
nent filter 3 from the machine and allow to dry
thoroughly before it is used for dry vacuuming.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Before any work on the machine itself, pull
the mains plug.
Always keep the unit clean.
To maintain the optimum performance ca-
pability of the machine, we recommended
cleaning the permanent filter 3 after each
use. For this purpose, clean the permanent
filter with a brush or rinse with water.
Wipe out the container 12 from time to time with
a commercially available, non-scouring cleaning
agent and allow to dry.
Replacing the Permanent Filter
(see figure
)
A
The permanent filter 3 can be changed if re-
quired. Cut the band on the soiled filter and re-
move the inserted plastic basket. Press the plas-
tic basket firmly into the new permanent filter 3.
If the machine should fail despite the care taken
in manufacturing and testing procedures, repair
should be carried out by an after-sales service
centre for Bosch power tools.
In all correspondence and spare parts orders,
please always include the 10-digit order number
given on the nameplate of the machine.

Malfunctions
In the case of inadequate vacuuming perform-
ance, check the following:
– Is the vacuum hose system clogged? Are the
extension wands connected firmly?
– Is the container full?
– Is the dust bag 13 full?
– Is the permanent filter 3 clogged?
Emptying at regular intervals ensures optimum
vacuuming performance.
