Enter the following information to create a Remote backup job:
Job Name
Remote Server
Remote IP Address
Password
SSH User Name
SSH Password
Source Folder
Destination Folder
Backup Type
Recurrence

Click Create.
5.
In the USB Backup Jobs area, click the Start Backup icon to begin your backup.
The progress of the backup appears in the USB Backup Jobs area.
Recovering a Remote Backup
Use the following steps to recover the data you saved on your remote server. This process
recovers the data you saved on the remote server to your local server.
1.
On the Remote Backup screen, under Remote Backup Jobs, click the Recover icon
next to the job you'd like to view.

On the Recover screen, click OK. Your data recovery begins.

Enter a Job Name for your backup.
Select the type of remote server.
• NAS Server
• WD Cloud
Enter the IP address of the remote location.
(Example: 192.168.1.16)
Enter the password for the remote backup server.
SSH user name is set to SSHD by default and cannot be
changed.
Enter the SSH password for the remote device.
Click Browse and select the folder you'd like to back up.
Click Browse and select the destination folder for your
backup.
Indicate the type of backup you'd like to perform.
• Copy
• Synchronize
If you'd like to use the Recurrence feature:
1.
Click the toggle button to enable the Recurring Backup
feature.
2.
Select the frequency of the backup: Daily, Weekly,
Monthly.
3.
Select a time (hour, AM/PM) from the drop-down menu.
