SPd: SPEED
This effect lets you use the control pedal to change the loop
playback speed.
• EDIT knob: Specifies how the playback speed will change
when you operate the control pedal.
SL1: When you advance the pedal, the playback will slow
down. The phrase's pitch will not change.
SL2: When you advance the pedal, the playback will slow
down. The phrase's pitch will change in proportion to the
playback speed.
FA1: When you advance the pedal, the playback will
speed up. The phrase's pitch will not change.
FA2: When you advance the pedal, the playback will
speed up. The phrase's pitch will change in proportion to
the playback speed.
SF1: The playback will speed up when you advance the
pedal beyond the mid-point of its operating range, and will
slow down when you return the pedal toward yourself
from the mid-point. The phrase's pitch will not change.
SF2: The playback will speed up when you advance the
pedal beyond the mid-point of its operating range, and
will slow down when you return the pedal toward
yourself from the mid-point. The phrase's pitch will
change in proportion to the playback speed.
• Control pedal: Controls the playback speed of the
recorded loop. Depending on the setting of the EDIT
knob, the pitch will change together with the playback
speed. The result is similar to changing the rotational
speed of a record.
About the Pre Effect and the Loop Effect
Scr: SCRUB
This effect divides the loop-recorded phrase into grains
(short fragments of sound), and lets you use the control
pedal to freely change the playback position; i.e., to "scrub"
through the phrase. This is particularly effective when used
on guitar solos or arpeggios.
• EDIT knob: Adjusts the length of the grains (short
fragments of sound).
• Control pedal: Controls the playback position within the
loop.
Starting from the pedal in the fully-returned position,
advancing the pedal will scrub through one cycle of the loop.
Advancing the pedal will play forward, and returning the
pedal will play backward. The speed at which you operate
the pedal will control the playback speed.
When you're not operating the pedal, playback will occur
slowly.
Stt: STUTTER
This effect lets you use the control pedal to control the duty
cycle, allowing you to create rhythmical loops. It is effective
when used on sounds that have a stable loudness, such as
sound processed by compression or distortion. The content
of the effect is the same as the Pre Effect "STUTTER."
