Viewing through the viewfinder to take a picture

Set the mode dial to P.

Place the AF frame on the subject
while viewing through the
viewfinder.

Adjust the focus.
Press the shutter button gently
(halfway).
• The focus is locked when a beep tone is
sounded. The AF confirmation mark and
the AF focusing frame light up in the
viewfinder.
• The shutter speed and aperture value
that have been set automatically by the
camera are displayed.
• The control panel screen is not
displayed when the shutter button is
pressed.

Release the shutter.
Press the shutter button all the way
(fully).
• When a picture is taken, a shutter sound
is output.
• The card access lamp blinks and the
camera starts recording the picture.
Rec view
This allows you to display the picture you have just taken on the monitor while
it is being recorded to the card.
