Setting for increased oil delivery rate
If necessary, the oil flow can be
increased beyond the standard setting.
Press in end stop (2) using a
N
suitable tool – end stop is no longer
functional: the oil flow can be
increased further
If the end stop has been pressed in, it
remains in this position.
To increase oil flow –
turn the adjusting screw clockwise
N
To reduce oil flow –
turn the adjusting screw
N
counterclockwise
In adjustment range a, the oil tank may
run dry before the fuel tank, thus
resulting in the saw chain running dry.
In adjustment range a, monitor the
N
chain oil level between refuelings
and add oil if necessary. Always
refill the chain oil tank every time
you refuel.
NOTICE
If an increased oil flow is no longer
required, reset the adjusting screw to the
standard setting.

Turn the guide bar over – every time

you sharpen the chain and every
time you replace the chain – this
helps avoid one-sided wear,
especially at the nose and
underside of the bar.
Regularly clean the oil inlet hole (1),

the oilway (2) and the bar groove
(3).
Measure the groove depth – with the

scale on the filing gauge (special
accessory) – in the area used most
for cutting.

Replace the guide bar.
