Inserting Batteries

A
Replace the batteries when this symbol
appears in the display.
Use only alkaline batteries.
When not using for longer periods,
remove the batteries to avoid the danger of
corrosion.

Menu Settings

To adjust the units, press these but-
tons at the same time for 1 second.
The new setting is immediately
taken over and stored. Repeat the procedure to
skip through the different units.
Select the unit of measure and the indication
accuracy:

Display/button illumination
The illumination switches on after pressing any
button. The illumination automatically switches
off 20 seconds after the last button actuation.
Initial Operation
DANGER: Do not look into the laser
beam!
Switching the Tool On
The battery display appears. The tool is in its base
mode and ready to take the first measurement.
A measurement is taken when pressing the
button again. The laser beam is deactivated
after each measurement and has to be reacti-
vated with the
button.
Upon actuation, the shown value is deleted.
Within the "Area" and "Volume" measuring
function, the individual distances can be deleted
and then measured again afterwards.

The following stop/rest methods can be used
with the device:

– Press button 1x briefly (short beep): The zero
– Press button 2x briefly (short beep): The zero
– Press button 1x long (long beep): The zero
– Press button 2x long (long beep): The zero
The tool automatically switches off 180 sec-
onds after the last pushbutton actuation.

Front or rear stop/rest
After switching on, the zero point for all
measurements is at the rear edge of the
device. For measurements from a given
edge (D) or from a corner, fold out the
stop/rest angle and set the measuring level
as follows:
point for 1 measurement is the edge of the
device.
point is the rear stop/rest angle.
point for all measurements is the front device
edge.
point for all measurements is the stop/rest
angle.
