  • Page 14 Install traction drive control rod The traction drive control rod (A) is installed on the snow thrower. Remove plastic tie (B) securing traction drive control rod (A) to rotator bracket. With top end of rod positioned under left side of control panel, push rod down and insert top end of rod into hole in traction drive control lever (C).
  • Page 15 Install auger control rod The auger control rod is installed on the snow thrower. Remove plastic tie (A) securing auger control rod (B) to lower handle. Push down on the auger control rod and bring top end of rod up between the metal console and plastic console cover at right control lever (C).
  • Page 16 Install discharge chute / chute rotater head NOTE: The multi-wrench provided in your parts bag may be used to install the chute rotater head. Place discharge chute assembly on top of chute base with discharge opening toward front of snow thrower. Position chute rotater head (A) over chute bracket (B).

Skid plates (N) are located on each side of the auger housing and adjust the clearance between the scraper bar (P) and the ground surface. Check engine oil with snow thrower on level ground. Remove oil fill cap/dipstick and wipe clean, reinsert the dipstick and screw tight, wait for a few seconds, remove and read oil level.

IMPORTANT: When installing wheel, be sure to use the inner most hole in axle (F) and the wheel hub hole (D). To disengage drive system from the wheels (for pushing or transporting the snow thrower) remove wheel pin and retainer pin from wheel hub and insert wheel pin and retainer into the outer hole in axle only (E).
  • Page 62 To adjust cable tension Adjust cable tension by turning the adjuster turn buckle (A), located on the right hand cable. Grasp the long section tightly and turn the short section to lengthen the adjuster. Adjust until cable is snug.
