7.

LENS AND CAMERA ADJUSTMENT IN LENS REPLACEMENT

Take the following adjustment procedure when replacing the lens al ready mounted on your FP-Z31 camera
by another lens.
7.1
Adjusting flange-back
In the case of defocus in telephoto or wide by zooming operation, adjust flange-back as shown below.
( 1) Set the AUTO/MANU switch of a lens to MANU side.
(2) Fully open the IRIS.
Apply light to the object so that proper video level is obtained with iris opened.
(3) Loosen the screw securing the back focus ring of the lens.
(4) Set the zoom servo lever to the end of telephoto.
(5) Shoot an object at a distance of 3m or more while focusing by the focus ring.
(6) Set the zoom servo lever to the end of wide
(7) Adjust the back focus ring of the lens, and focus on the same·'object as (5). without adjusting the focus
ring.
(8) Repeat the steps (4) to (7) two or three times so that the object can be focused in both telephoto and
wide.
(9) Fasten the securing scr�w.

Shoot the registration chart in this manual at a distance of about 3m so that chart appears fully on
the screen.
(2) Select the R-G on the MONITOR SELECT switch, and check the registration. If necessary, use the
controls of (R H CENT, R V CENT, R WIDTH and R HEIGHT)* for registration adjustment.
Next, s�le
ct the B-G on the same switch, and check the registration. If necessary, use the controls of
