Automatic transmission

This is the easiest way to send a fax.
Do not pick up the handset of the external phone.

If it is not illuminated in green, press

Load your document. (See Load documents on page 2-1.)

Enter the fax number using the dial pad, Speed-Dial or Search.
(See How to dial on page 6-1.)

Manual transmission

Manual transmission lets you hear the dialling, ringing and
fax-receiving tones while sending a fax.

If it is not illuminated in green, press

Load your document. (See Load documents on page 2-1.)

Pick up the handset of the external phone and listen for a dial
tone.

On the external phone, dial the fax number you want to call.

When you hear the fax tone,
Mono Start
press

If you picked up the handset of the external phone, replace it.

Out of Memory message

If you get an Out of Memory message while scanning the first page
Stop/Exit
of a fax, press
Memory message while scanning a subsequent page, you will have
the option to press
Stop/Exit
or to press
If the memory is full and you are faxing a single page, it will be
sent in real time.

to cancel the scan. If you get an Out of

to send the pages scanned so far,
to cancel the operation.
