In manual exposu re mode or when the AEL button is used in
program , shutter-priority or aperture-priority auto exposure
mode, the camera automatically switches to centerweighted
metering. Centerweighted metering places special emphasis on
brightness within the 12 mm-diameter central area of the view-
finder, and is recommended for creating special effects.
