1. IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

-
The guarantee does not cover damage to the appliance caused by failure to respect the
instructions in this Manual.
-
Make sure the mains voltage corresponds to the voltage indicated on the appliance rating plate.
-
Do not use the electric radiator in the presence of gas, explosives or inflammable products.
-
The power cable and other objects must never come into contact with the appliance.
-
To avoid overheating, never under any circumstances cover the appliance during operation
as this would lead to a dangerous rise in temperature.
-
When the appliance is on, the surfaces become hot.
-
Never leave small children unattended near the radiator.
-
Never install the appliance underneath a power point.
-
All repairs must be carried out by the manufacturer or an authorised technical service centre only.
-
Always disconnect from the mains electricity supply before carrying out any operation insi-
de the appliance.
-
Replacing the power cable requires the use of special tools. If it is damaged, it must be
replaced by an authorised service centre in order to eliminate all risk.
WARNING: In order to avoid overheating, never under any circumstances cover the
appliances during operation, as this would lead to dangerous overheating.
CAUTION: In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertent resetting of the thermal cutout, this
appliance must not be supplied through an external switching device, such as a timer, or con-
nected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by the utility.
2. POSITIONING
-
Decide the position of each appliance logically.
-
Position the appliance against a wall where there is a furniture-free space.
-
Do not position near furniture, curtains or other appliances.
-
Do not position in corners.
-
Make sure the position is as central as possible, away from doors and windows and on the
longest wall.
-
There may, however, be exceptions to these rules. For example, if there is no heating in the
adjacent corridor, you may decide to position the appliance near the door to allow heat to
escape and also heat the corridor.
-
You may also decide to position the appliance below a window.
-
This is a common solution when there are no other free walls.
-
However, remember that there is always some heat loss from windows.
-
Install the appliance in such a way that switches and other controls cannot be touched by
someone in a bath or shower.
-
Never install the appliance underneath a power point.
