icemakerand a dispenserthat
dispenseschilledwater,ice cubes
and crushedice throughthe freezer
compartmentdoor.Here'show
they work.
Water flowsfrom the househoki
supply througha
(1) dual solenoidvalveto the
(2) waterreservoirand to the
(3) automaticicemakeras needed.
Water is frozen in the
(4) cubemold and ejectedinto the
(5) storagebin wherea motor-
poweredaugermovescubesforward
intothedispensing unit.Cubedor
crushedice,as selected, d ispense
throughchutein doorwhencradle
is pressed.
When the switch is moved to
CRUf$HED, b affle in housing
channelscubesthroughthe crusher
and crushedice falls throughchute
into glass.
Chilled water from reservoir
flows throughthe
(6) tubingin the door and is
dispensedwhen the cradleis
pressed.
(7) A light switch turnsthe night
lightin the dispenseron or off.
