Front Panel LED, Trigger Out, and Page Mute Test
1.
Place the test LED with a 1k Ohm series resistor in the Trigger Out jack.
2.
The Trigger Out LED and Front Panel LED should be illuminated.
3.
Measure the DC voltage at the Trigger Out LED. It should measure approx 12VDC.
4.
Press the on/off button on the CAS44 to power off the controller.
5.
The Front Panel LED for the zone being tested should go dark.
6.
The Trigger Out LED should go dark.
7.
Press the on/off button on the CAS44 to power on the controller.
8.
Press the On/Off button on the KP4.
9.
The Front Panel LED for the zone being tested should illuminate.
10. The Trigger Out LED should illuminate.
11. Set to volume to a moderate level.
12. Connect a 12V power pack with 1/8" mini plug attached (positive tip) to the
Mute In jack on the rear of the CAS44.
13. Make sure the 12V power pack is plugged into the AC outlet.
14. The sound should mute in both speakers.
15. Remove the 1/8" mini plug from the Mute In jack.
16. The sound should return.
***INGOT Testers do not perform step 17 through step 21.
***RUSSOND Testers Perform Step 17 through step 21 for Zone 1 only.
***During Steps 16 through 21 the Blue Power LED will always be illuminated.
17. Momentarily press the on/off button on the KP4.
18. The keypad port number the KP4 is connected Front Panel LED goes dark.
19. Press and hold the on/off button on the KP4.
20. All Front Panel LED's will go dark.
21. Approximately 5 minutes later the Trigger Out Led should go dark.
